Getting young people involved in improving wellbeing
How can we get young people involved in improving wellbeing in their own community? This exciting discussion kit, developed with Our Life and National Children’s Bureau, was used to encourage young people to explore the factors that influence wellbeing.
Using the kit as a stimulus for discussion, participants encounter a number of fictional characters and consider if everybody has a fair chance of achieving good health and wellbeing.
We piloted early mock-ups of the pack with young people in Sefton, to find out how young people responded to the characters and their stories.
By integrating their feedback into the design of the finished product, Talking Wellbeing became a fun-to-use kit full of stimulating and visually appealing activities to get young people thinking, talking - and taking action to improve their own wellbeing and that of their local community.
