Andrassy Media was set up fifteen years ago by David Andrassy, after working for fourteen years in community mental health, in Edinburgh and later Manchester. In 1999, he left his job at Manchester City Council to set up the company (originally called Andrassy Design) with the express aim of building a design business founded on progressive social principles.
Though the concept of ethical business was not in common currency at that time, David grew the company through a combination of high quality work allied to sensitive interpretation of its non-profit sector clients’ ethos.
As Andrassy Design expanded in size, the company was able to take on more complex and larger scale projects. This period saw a number of high profile commissions, including national public health campaigns very much in the mould of what was, at the time, the relatively new discipline of social marketing.
Over the last few years, in a rapidly changing media environment it has become vital to have access to expertise across a wide range of specialised technical fields.
To respond effectively in this fluid environment, Andrassy Media increasingly brings together teams of specialists on a project-by-project basis.
The company’s rebranding as Andrassy Media in 2010 reflected this widening of our capabilities.
Today from our base in Huddersfield’s Media Centre, Andrassy Media collaborates closely with some of the best creative specialists in the north to deliver highly effective and exceptionally creative visual communicartions for social change.
